Kooks 3" x 3" stainless X-pipe — true 3" all the way through for cars committed to a full 3" race exhaust where any step-down would be the next restriction. X-pipe geometry balances exhaust pulses between cylinder banks for smoother top-end power and a distinct cross-bank sound character. Competition only — no cats; off-road / track use only. Ball-and-socket header connection accommodates thermal expansion.
Fits 1999-2004 Ford Mustang GT and Cobra with the 4.6L 2V or 4V engine. Requires Kooks long tube headers with 3" collectors. The 3" outlet does NOT connect to the OEM exhaust — pair with a Kooks 3" cat-back, axle-back, or race tail section to complete the system.

Every mid-section is welded by experienced fabricators in the same shop where the company's NASCAR and drag racing roots were established. 16 gauge 304 stainless construction shrugs off thermal cycling and corrosion.
Clamps are included with the X-pipe. Pair with Kooks 1999-2004 4.6L 3" collector long tubes upstream and a 3" Kooks downstream system. Replacement Torca-style clamps sold separately.
