Rock Sliders.
One of the most important armor pieces on the vehicle, rock sliders protect the rocker panels when navigating obstacles off road, and double as recovery and jack points.
Built with a one-piece 1/4" metal backing plate that bolts directly to threaded holes in the frame. Each side plate is fastened to the frame with Grade 10.9 bolts.
Tubing is 1.75" round, .120" wall DOM, cut on our CNC tube plasma cutter and bent in house. 1/4" gussets reinforce the weldment at the back plate attachment points.
Sliders protect the rocker panel from rocks, stumps, trees, and other obstacles off road. In technical situations they let you slide over or rotate around obstacles - hence the name. They also work as a Hi-Lift jack point along their full length, and as a hard point for non-kinetic sideways recoveries.
Sliders ship raw steel, no paint or powder coating, as a pair, with installation hardware. Painting or powder coating is the customer's responsibility. A spray paint refresh is usually fine since sliders take a beating and often need touch-ups in the field. Before installation, chase the frame threads with an M8 tap and penetrating oil to clear out dirt and rust - the bolts will go in much easier.
This listing is for "flat" sliders with a bumpout and filler plates along the entire length. They have zero angle, so they're friendlier as a step and give extra rear-door protection through the bumpout.
Sliders are built to order and subject to lead times.
Non-KDSS GX470 ONLY.
Often mistaken for running boards or side steps, sliders are all metal and bolt directly to the frame. Running boards and side steps bolt to the body and are rarely as tough.
