CORSA Performance Marine started in 1988 in Berea, Ohio not far from the shores of Lake Erie. Drivers (Captains) were looking for a solution that would quiet their high-performance boats without restricting performance. Enter Acoustic Sound Reflection (ASR) silencers. ASR silencers, developed and patented in conjunction with local aerospace engineers in the early 1990s, deployed specific geometry to reflect sound frequencies, reducing volume, and allowing boats to achieve dockside sound limits, all without sacrificing performance. Quickly ASR became the go to solution for boaters around the world seeking to quiet their boat without losing performance.

10 Years after the launch of ASR silencers drivers began to seek out a unique solution that would allow their car to achieve the same great sound benefits as their high-performance boats. “Can you make my car sound like my boat? Quiet while cruising but loud and aggressive under acceleration.”

Utilizing concepts and solutions pioneered in the Marine category with ASR silencers, CORSA Performance began the development of what would become patented No Drone Reflective Sound Cancellation® (RSC®) Technology. Once again by utilizing geometry, engineers were able to target specific frequencies generated by each vehicle’s unique firing sequence and build a precision, custom tuned exhaust solution that would eliminate harsh drone inducing frequencies without restricting performance or overall volume.

In 1998 after years of development patented CORSA Performance Reflective Sound Cancellation (RSC®) Technology debuted at the Indianapolis 500 on the C5 pacecar. Shortly thereafter CORSA Performance began its multi-decade long quest to “Perfect the Science of Sound” in the Marine and Automotive industries.​
